Conference Registration

A Notice from SCE

In order to preserve the integrity of our conferences, the Society for Computational Economics will record the names and contact information of conference participants who fail to show up to present their paper or who cancel at the last minute.

Conference Fee

The conference registration fee can be paid in either USD ($395) by credit card or EUR (300€) by bank wire transfer.  Use the link at the bottom of this page to access online registration.  If you intend to pay by EUR wire transfer, please read the additional information at the bottom of this page prior to registering.

The prices quoted above include an early registration discount available for payments received by April 15, 2012.  Starting April 16 the fee will increase to the standard rate of $450 or 340€.  The higher fee applies to all payments received after April 15, even if registration was submitted prior to the deadline.

All participants, including those who were invited by the program committee to submit their paper, are expected to pay the full fee.  One-day registration is not available.

Student Fee
The first 40 students who register to present a paper will receive a discounted registration fee of $345 or 260€, made possible by sponsorship from the Journal of Applied Econometrics.  To receive the discount, simply mark the appropriate spot in the online registration form.  After the first 40, students will be charged the standard conference fee.

The registration fee includes:

  • registration drinks on Tuesday afternoon

  • Welcome Reception on Wednesday evening at Czech National Bank

  • lunches on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

  • coffee breaks

  • admission to all sessions

  • conference materials (including program/abstract book and USB memory stick preloaded with presented papers, sponsored by RSJ)

During online registration your fees will be calculated in both USD and EUR.  At the end you will select one payment method -- either credit card (charged in USD) or wire transfer (transferred in EUR which will not be converted).  Paying in EUR will require an international wire transfer involving an intermediary bank, using a form that includes Field 56 Please feel free to contact us by email or phone if you have any questions about this before you begin or if you encounter difficulty during the process.

NOTICE: We have learned that some European banks are unable to transfer funds using an intermediary bank.  If you select payment by EUR wire transfer and then find that this is the case with your bank, it is OK to submit a new registration using a credit card for payment and we will delete your original registration.  We apologize for the difficulty!  We had hoped that offering this alternative would prove convenient for European attendees, but we are finding this is not necessarily true for some people.
