no cost for conference registrants; guest tickets $50 USD
All conference participants
are invited to the Opening Reception at The Kubicki Arcades being a part of
The Royal Castle in Warsaw, located in the very heart of the capital city
and overlooking the scenic Vistula River.
The Kubicki Arcades at the
foot of the 16th-century Royal Castle in Warsaw were designed in the 19th
century by a Polish architect Jakub Kubicki. The solid construction delights
with its simplicity and finesse, enhanced by arches and round windows. For
the most part of the 20th century, the Arcades were used by the Army, while
slowly falling into disrepair. However, since their makeover in the 1990s,
designed by the architect Stanisław Fiszer, they have a new look combining
the historical venue and modern interior design. Today, the Kubicki Arcades
are a popular and cherished venue of various events. The place has hosted
notable guests from all over the world, including the US President Barack
Obama.
Cocktail Reception at
Restauracji AleGloria
- included
Thursday, June 18 from 19:00 to 22:00
no cost for conference registrants; guest tickets $50 USD
All conference participants
are invited to the cocktail reception offered at the AleGloria
restaurant located in Dom Dochodowy.
This very unique building,
situated at Trzech Krzyży Square in Warsaw, consists of three beautifully
renovated historical tenement houses. At the beginning of the 21st century,
the three houses were meticulously reconstructed and merged into one
building by means of a glass-roof construction, which created a three-storey
internal atrium. Today, Dom Dochodowy serves as a prestigious mixed-use
business building, housing offices and shops. It is also home to
AleGloria restaurant whose menu is inspired by the centuries-long Polish
culinary tradition.
