Conference Registration

A Notice from SCE

In order to preserve the integrity of our conferences, the Society for Computational Economics will record the names and contact information of conference participants who fail to show up to present their paper or who cancel at the last minute.

Conference Fee

The early conference registration fee is $365 USD, discounted to $315 USD for current students and recent PhDs (earned November 1, 2012 or later). The student discount is funded by the Society for Computational Economics.

The fees quoted above represent an early registration discount applicable for payments received on or before April 30, 2013.  Starting May 1 the fee will increase to the standard rate of $450 USD.  The higher fee applies to all payments received after April 30, even if registration was submitted prior to the deadline.

All participants, including those who were invited by members of the program committee to submit a paper, are expected to pay the full fee.  One-day registration is not available.

The registration fee includes:

• registration drinks on Tuesday afternoon

• Opening Reception on Wednesday evening

• coffee breaks

• admission to all sessions

• conference materials (including program/abstract book and USB memory stick preloaded with presented papers)

• one-year membership to the Society for Computational Economics

Participants who wish to present a paper must register and pay fees by May 15, 2013.  After May 15 presenters who have not registered will be removed from the program.

Opening Reception – Wednesday, July 10

The opening reception will take place at Steamworks Brewing Company and is included in the conference registration fee. See the Social Events page for more details.

Conference Dinner Cruise – Thursday, July 11

The conference dinner will take place aboard the MV Magic Charm cruising in Vancouver Harbor. See the Social Events page for more details. The dinner cruise is an optional event and tickets can be purchased during conference registration.

Refund policy for registration fees

• Cancellation on or before April 30, 2013: Forfeit US $100; balance of prepayment will be refunded

• Cancellation between May 1 and June 15, 2013: Forfeit US $200; balance of prepayment will be refunded

• Cancellation after June 15, 2013: no refund
